What is an EPC?
An Energy Performance Certificate rates a property from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). It also gives practical recommendations for improving the home’s energy performance.
When do I need one?
An EPC is required when a property is built, sold, or rented. You must order an EPC for potential buyers and tenants before you market your property to sell or rent.
How long does the visit take?
A typical assessment takes between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the property.
What should I have ready?
Please ensure the assessor has access to all rooms, including the loft if possible, as well as the boiler and hot water cylinder.
How quickly will I receive the certificate?
Certificates are usually processed and emailed to you within 24 hours of the assessment being completed.
